Charlie was living with leukemia, but he still got out every day to walk his dogs around his neighborhood in Houston, Texas. When his neighbors noticed he was having difficulty on his walks, they banded together and did something wonderful for their friend. They put out chairs along his route so he could sit and rest. George told CNN affiliate KTRK, “I think it’s incredible. I didn’t expect this at all.”
Sadly, Charlie passed away shortly after this story came out, due to complications of the disease. However the chairs remain in the neighborhood, and people have left flowers and messages of support on them.
