This little rescue pug is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face! Mikey was in bad shape when he arrived at Michigan Humane Society. The neglected pug had demodectic mange and severe glaucoma in both eyes, which was causing him a lot of pain. Because of this, his rescuers decided the best thing to do was to remove his eyes.
Afterwards, Mikey went into foster care with Michigan Pug Rescue and during that time he caught the eye of Sabrina Johnson, a district judge.
Johnson adopted him and since taking him home, she says he rarely bumps into things. Mikey has amazing cognitive mapping skills and really knows his way around his house and his mom’s office.
He’s also got an incredibly positive attitude and charm that works like magic on everyone around him.
“When people meet him, they melt. I’ve seen very tough police officers just get down on their hands and knees, just play with him,” says Johnson. “He brightens everyone’s day.”
“I got him from rescue, and he really rescued me,” Johnson says in the video. “He’s just the love of my life.”
