Rowden and Leizl had everything going for them. Together with their 2-year-old daughter, the young couple planned on making their lives together official and get married on Rowden’s 30th birthday on July 8, 2014.
“Then a twist of fate, Rowden got diagnosed with stage IV liver cancer in late May,” described one of his relatives. “His last request was to marry his one true love. After 12 hours of preparations, his dream was fulfilled. Unable to take him outside the hospital, we brought the church to him. It was like a heartbreaking fairytale.”
Rowden passed away less than 10 hours after saying his vows. The video his family shared is truly touching.
