It’s appalling to think of anyone with the responsibility to take care of children would beat them, but that is what one mother believes happened to her boy at his daycare.
Ryane Lamb found welts and bruises covering her 2-year-old son Amari’s legs when she picked him up from his Cleveland daycare on Wednesday. According to Fox 8, Lamb brought her son directly to the hospital for treatment and then notified police.
In surveillance video recorded that same day, it appears that a 49-year-old employee at Cedar Early Learning Center allegedly is striking Amari with what looks like a plastic backscratcher before shoving him to the ground.
Later in the video, another worker appears to be clubbing an 18-month-old girl with a plastic bat! When speaking to the news station, Lamb broke into tears at what she had seen on the surveillance video: “I could not believe…Just looking at that, that this place even had the audacity to do that to my baby for no reason, he didn’t deserve it at all.”
Since the incident was reported, the two employees were immediately fired from the daycare. Warrants have also since been filed for child endangerment against the two women for the alleged abuse.
What a truly shocking story! I’m glad Amari will be all right and that his mother noticed something was wrong and took swift action!
