Many of us spend at least 8 hours of every weekday in a “box” we call a work cubicle. Australia’s “Lost Dog’s Home”, a shelter for dogs, came up with an idea to change that…and help their homeless dogs at the same time! They called this idea “The Human Walking Program.”
Shelter dogs helped get thousands of office workers to leave their desks and spend their lunch breaks walking and playing with them.
And it worked! Not only were over 5,000 office workers rescued but 5,000 adoptable dogs found homes. In fact, every dog in the program was saved!
It’s such a great idea I hope more animal shelters consider doing something similar in their towns!
