Owner Closes His Historic Roadside Restaurant And Leaves Patrons And Staff In Tears

Tim’s Place in Albuquerque New Mexico has become somewhat of a historic roadside restaurant in the past 5 years and that’s in large part due to its owner, Tim Harris.

Tim is the first restaurant owner in the United States with Down syndrome. For several years, Tim has poured his heart and soul into his business and brought smiles to the faces of everyone who visits. So when he announced he was closing his restaurant, his patrons and staff were left in tears.

But it turns out, Tim has a very good reason for shutting the doors of Tim’s Place. He’s fallen in love with Tiffani Johnson. The two have decided to marry and Tim will be moving to Denver to be with her.

Although it makes him very sad that he is closing his restaurant, Tim is also thrilled knowing he’s about to begin another chapter in his life with Tiffani by his side.

“[When I look into her eyes], I see love. I see joy. And I see that I have a future here,” Tim told CBS’ Steve Hartman. Tim also says he plans on opening up a restaurant in Denver.

Watch this wonderful love story in the video below. And please share to wish Tim and Tiffani the best in their future together!

Update:

Tim’s parents shared the news shortly after that Tim and his girlfriend broke up and the move to Denver was put on hold. He continues to be very busy and in high demand as a motivational and inspirational speaker.
