A homeless man came to the rescue of two elderly women who were attacked on Mother’s Day. The two women were walking on the street in Brooklyn in broad daylight when a man approached them and attacked them without warning. The stranger’s punches knocked the two women to the ground. But seconds later, a Good Samaritan sprung into action.
The Good Samaritan had just past the women when he witnessed the unprovoked attack.
He chased after the suspect and knocked the man to the ground, holding him down until police arrived. Other eyewitnesses said the Good Samaritan did not tell them his name but told them he was homeless and when he saw what happened he “refused to look the other way.”
After the attacker’s arrest, the Good Samaritan checked on the two women he helped. Although they were shaken by the violent incident, both went to hospital and were discharged later in good health.
The man that attacked them is now facing charges. But thank goodness the Good Samaritan decided to act!
