Man Creates Amazing Cat Portrait From Pebbles

Artost Justin Bateman takes a common material – pebbles on the ground – and transforms them into stunning portraits. Using different-colored stones, Justin arranges them until they take on familiar shapes. He calls his work “Land Art.”

One of his recent pieces has wowed the Internet. He shared a video showing his creation of a cat portrait.

Viewers loved what they were seeing. “This is actually insane,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “That ending was mind-blowing!”

Wait until you the lion he created in the video below.

Bateman also creates portraits of people. His “Isabella” is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s sketches.

‘Isabella’ 2024, by Justin Bateman. ‘Or maybe it’s just that beautiful things are so easily broken by the world.’ Cassandra Clare, City of Fallen Angels. Isabella is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s sketches. Leonardo is renowned for his masterful rendering of anatomy and ability to capture highly nuanced facial expressions. Beyond his technical competence he imbibes the subject with spirit, whether it is the abundant experience of age or diffident appeal of youthful innocence. ‘Where the spirit does not work with the hand, there is no art.’ Leonardo da Vinci The name Isabella is of Spanish and Italian origin, and was a popular name during the Renaissance. The name is derived from the Hebrew name Elizabeth, meaning ‘pledged to God’. #landart #landartist #mosaicart #mosaicportrait #art #portraitart #portraiture #mosaic #mosaicartist #artwork #pebblepainting #interventionart #meta #mosaics #pebblepicassos #natureartist #natureart #pebbleart #instagram #pebbleportrait #painting #sandart #rennaissance #stoneart #earthart #beachart #pebble #pebble #leonardodavinci

Bateman’s art is similar to other wonderful artists who use temporary mediums. Joe Mangrum uses sand to make beautiful art on sidewalks and Julian Beever creates beautiful 3D art out of chalk.
