Heroic 10-Year-Old Boy Jumps On Jeep To Save His Sister From Being Abducted By Sex Offender

A 10-year-old boy is being hailed as a hero after clinging onto the side of a car to save his sister from being abducted by a convicted sex offender.

Three siblings were walking along a country road near Cullahill in Ireland, when the man, who was on bail for robbery, pulled up in a car and tried to lure them into his vehicle.

When they refused, he got out and grabbed the girl and threw her in the back of a Nissan 4×4 he had stolen earlier in the day.

That’s when one of her brothers jumped through the window of the vehicle and began punching the abductor as he began to drive away.

Sources told the Irish Herald that the young boy was “roaring and punching and making as much noise as possible”. The boy’s quick actions gave his sister enough time to open the car door and jump out. Her brother managed to get away too.

The children ran home and told their father and a special police alert was immediately sent out to the community.

It appears that the man robbed from a church’s collection box later in the day after his failed kidnapping attempt.

Police arrested the 34-year-old that day. The man is a convicted child sex offender but is not on the sex offenders list as the offense dates back to the 1990s.

The Independent reported that the father of the children said he was “extremely proud” of his son.

What an awesome brother!
