Note: According to the ASPCA’s website, it is the citrus plant that is toxic to dogs and not the fruit. The ASPCA Ask an Expert states a few lemon seeds or a piece of citrus won’t hurt your dog, but it should be noted that ingesting oranges, lemons and limes might cause them stomach upset.
