Crock pot cooking is well-known for its convenience and versatility. But did you also know you can use it to cook up nutritious meals for your pets?
If you are looking to supplement your dog’s diet with more natural foods but don’t want to go “raw”, then this homemade all-natural dog food recipe that you can cook up in a crock pot might be worth a try.
The great thing is it includes healthy ingredients and can be prepared really easily. For this recipe you will need a crock pot, 10 minutes of prep time and 3 hours to let it cook.
– 2 1/2 lbs. ground beef
– 1 cup carrots, chopped
– 1 can kidney beans, rinsed
– 1/2 cup butternut squash, chopped
– 1/2 cup peas
– 1 1/2 cups brown rice
– 4 cups water
Place ground beef, carrots, kidney beans, butternut squash, peas, brown rice, and water in Crock-Pot. Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours. Once done, stir thoroughly and serve.
