Stranded For 3 Days, An Injured Woman Should Have Died But Her Dog Refused To Let That Happen

World champion adventure racer Danelle Ballengee spent a harrowing three days and two nights struggling to survive after she fell down a Utah canyon and shattered her pelvis. The endurance sports athlete and four-time Pikes Peak Marathon winner had slipped on an icy patch of ground while scrambling up a rocky section of trail and fallen 60 feet to the canyon floor below.

Unable to walk and alone in a 1000 square-miles of  wilderness, her only chance at getting help lay with her dog Tasman (Taz). Ballengee recounts her harrowing tale of survival that had me on the edge of my seat…
