Video: Devoted Dad Comforts His Dog After Surgery In Touching Display of Love

When Dublin the dog had to get ACL surgery and couldn’t be on the sofa, his dad refused to be on the sofa without him.

In a touching display of love, Dad kept Dublin company as he recovered. Dublin needed limited movement to heal properly, so he was kept behind a small enclosure with some chew toys and his dog bed. Dad brought along his tablet and phone to read while Dublin recuperated.

Millions of viewers were equally impressed by Dad’s actions. One person wrote, “I judge a human by the way he treats his dogs. This is fur love at it’s finest.” @got_thedub answered, “So true.”

“I did the same for my good boy. I slept next to his pad after surgery and when he got old and could no longer get on the bed,” wrote another. “They are so worth it,” wrote @got_thedub.

Mom advised other pet parents of dogs getting ACL surgery to get “lots of comfortable blankets and good bones.”

She says Dublin is doing really well now. “First two weeks are the hardest, but it’s so great to see our doggo finally back feeling like his old self.”
