Viral Video Captures Father and Son Protecting Unlocked Candy Store After Hours
Uptown Candy Store in Riverside, California had just celebrated its grand opening when a surveillance camera captured a heartwarming act of kindness.
The store had only been open for a few days when the owners captured a wholesome moment that quickly went viral on TikTok. On this particular night, a father and son discovered the store’s doors had been accidentally left unlocked after closing. Instead of walking away, they stood guard outside until security arrived, making sure nothing happened to the brand-new shop.

Uptown Candy Store shared the video online in hopes of identifying the father and son to thank them personally. The clip soon racked up more than 5 million views, and although the Smith family didn’t have a TikTok account, word eventually reached father Connor Smith and his son, Charlie. They were invited back with their family for a special candy reward.
