Troopers Rescue An Abandoned Bear Cub From A Ditch Near New Jersey Freeway

A New Jersey State Trooper rescued a bear cub found in a roadside ditch after responding to a call. The cub was alone and appeared to need help getting out of the woods along I-78 in Union Township.

It’s unclear what happened to the cub’s mother.

The trooper caught the small cub and put him in the back of his vehicle before safely transporting him to barracks, where Fish and Wildlife met them after the rescue.

After posting photos to social media, the bear cub and trooper quickly went viral.
