Thomas O’Malley Flufferpants was a feral cat living on the street before he was rescued by this family. They soon discovered he had serious health problems: an upper respiratory infection, severe food allergies and horrible teeth. With all his health issues he needed a temporary home until he was healthy enough to be adopted.
During his recovery he was introduced to the dog in the house. Murkin is a former shelter dog who is very calm and patient and loves to hang out and play with other animals, especially cats and kittens. Maybe it’s the Great Pyrenees in his blood. Or the fact his mom fosters lots of cats!
But Thomas O’Malley was scared of dogs at first, so Murkin had to keep his distance. He slowly got used to Murkin. He was given treats and pets with Murkin sitting about 20 feet away until after a month they were introduced and this how it went!
Their first meeting went really well. And as you will see in the video below Thomas O’Malley absolutely adores Murkin!
