Massaging This Point On The Ear Boosts Health And Relieves Stress

With our hectic lives, many of us are searching for ways to relieve daily stress and feel balanced. An increasing number of people swear by reflexology, which relies on relieving stress by massaging points on the feet. But there’s another longstanding practice known as auricular accupressure, which is like reflexology, but focuses on the ears.

In the video below, Michael Reed Gach demonstrates an alternative health tip that is simple to do and said to help with many ailments related to stress. Shen Men is a point on the ear that has long been known to help relieve stress in the body. It’s said that by pressing this point it will help relieve inflammation and pain and boost overall wellness.

No wonder it’s one of the most recognized auricular points on the body and is commonly used in naturopathic medicine to help treat many ailments!

Roughly translated from Chinese, Shen Men means “heavenly gate”. It is situated at the apex of the ear’s triangular fossa. This is the shallow depression in the anterior part of the top of the ear’s auricle.

It is located between the two crurca where the antihelix splits. Gach shows the technique he uses to massage the Shen Men. He suggests massaging the point for a minute or two once or twice a day to help enhance your overall energy flow.

Try it and share it with your friends and see if it helps relieve the tension and stress.
