Rescued Bull Rejected By Herd Just Wants To Be Everyone’s Best Friend
A lonely bull in need of a friend has found many, thanks to Sasha Farm Animal Sanctuary. Bhima, a 2,500-pound gentle giant, was originally meant to help out in an urban garden project in Michigan. But when the permits fell through, he was rescued and brought to the sanctuary instead.
Shara Jones, who works at the farm, says she couldn’t believe her eyes when she first saw Bhima—but it didn’t take long for his sweet, soft personality to shine through. Sadly, after his brother passed away, Bhima was alone. The other cows on the farm didn’t accept him and even picked on him.
So Shara had an idea. She introduced Bhima to the goats, sheep, and horses. And it turns out, he fits right in. He now spends his days hanging out with his new herd and asking everyone he meets for affection. Bhima absolutely loves being petted. He’ll even flop onto his side for belly rubs, just like a big hound dog. He’s 2500 pounds of pure love.
