This Tree Hides Spectacular Rainbows Of Color Underneath Its Bark

When I visualize a tree I usually picture one that is brown and green, not one that is all the colors of the rainbow like the Rainbow Eucalyptus! The tree, otherwise known as the Mindanao Gum, or the Rainbow Gum, has bark that looks like a brush has painted it red, blue, orange, purple, green and maroon tones!

The tree is cultivated widely around the world, mainly for pulpwood used in making paper. You can also find them in the Philippines and Maui, Hawaii.

The multi-colored streaks appear when the outer bark peels away naturally at different times of the year.

As the tree matures, more vivid colors appear. The video below reveals more of these spectacular trees. Nature is so beautiful!
