This mountainside accommodation is most certainly unique and definitely not for the fainthearted. Offered as part of Natura Vive’s Skylodge Adventure in Peru, vacationers can sleep in pods suspended 400 feet above ground level that are, quite literally, attached to the side of a mountain.
They’re not exactly easy to get to. You’ll have to rock climb up to get to one, but once you do, you’ll be treated to a bottle of wine and panoramic views of the valley below from the transparent sleep pod. The sleep pods are made from aerospace aluminum and weather resistant polycarbonate, and comes complete with four beds, a dining area and a private bathroom.
Going back down looks much easier. When it’s time to go home, you zipline down. If I wasn’t completely terrified of heights I’d totally go!
