Women are routinely harassed by men in the streets of Lima, Peru. This video has been going viral on the Internet and taken literally it shows a group of men being tricked into catcalling their mothers. The resulting reactions from the family members are even worse than you’d expect.
It turns out the social experiment is a “mockumentary” made by Everlast Peru and the organization Stop Street Harassment. The scenario is actually based on real stories of men who revealed that they once harassed a female relative by mistake and felt ashamed about the experience. The resulting PSA is both funny and serious at the same time.
