Man Out Filming His Invention Surprised By A Hundred Playful Dolphins
Jerry McArthur was out on the water on his electric hydrofoil with a friend when they were suddenly surrounded by a pod of dolphins. The two had headed out to film near Porteau Cove Provincial Park in British Columbia when Jerry noticed some commotion in the water. Suddenly, dolphins began appearing beneath him and soon there were close to one hundred of them!
He didn’t want to get too close so veered away, but the dolphins were curious and started to follow him. Riding his Hydroflyer—a device he designed—Jerry hovered just two or three feet above the surface. The dolphins swam underneath, with some even turning onto their backs to look up at him.
“It was just absolutely wild,” he said. The dolphins hung around and swam around for close to twenty minutes making it an experience he’ll remember forever.
