Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton have been friends for a long time and throughout their enduring friendship they have sung many memorable duets. In 1983, the musicians paired up to perform one of the most classic duets of all time – “Islands in the Stream”. The longtime friends teamed up again recently to record the appropriately titled duet “You Can’t Make Old Friends”.
“I think we’re soul partners,” Kenny says about his friendship with Dolly. “We can not see each other for six months, and we walk in a room and it’s like we’re just…back together again. We are old friends.”
