When 12-year-old Grace VanderWaal walked on stage at America’s Got Talent with her ukulele, the judges didn’t know what to expect. So when Simon Cowell asks her and she says she is going to perform an original song (“I Don’t Know My Name”), he’s a bit skeptical. When he asks if she thinks she could win, Grace humbly responds, “Well, I mean, miracles can happen!”
Within seconds of starting to sing, it’s obvious the judges are blown away. She also seems well on her way to the finals, because Howie Mandel jumps up and pushes the coveted golden buzzer after calling her “a miracle”. Not long after, Simon says that he wished he had hit the buzzer first. And wait until you hear his bold prediction for her!
