The homecoming football game at Morro Bay High School was an extra special one for 7-year-old Hayley McGregor. In the middle of performing with the high school cheerleaders she heard her father’s name over the loudspeaker.
Immediately, she is overcome with emotion. Her dad, a US Marine, had been overseas serving in Afghanistan and she hadn’t seen her father in seven months. She runs to her mother, searching for her dad in the crowd and when she sees him, her face says it all.
