I found this video fascinating. It features Paul Stamets, a renowned mycologist and author. He has devoted his life to the study of mushrooms and other fungi and he believes mushrooms can save the world. Why? He explains his fascinating theory and the wonders of Nature in this excerpt from a 3D documentary film by Louie Schwartzberg that features beautiful footage of mushrooms growing in the forest.
As Stamets explains that fungal networks communicate, but that we, as humans don’t fully understand their language, I can’t help but be humbled about our place in the world and how much more we have to learn about Nature!
