Dolly Parton is often recognized because of her big personality and her reputation as a generous, kind-hearted person. So much so it’s sometimes easy to forget she’s a world-class musician. She’s written countless hit songs, she knows how to play multiple instruments and she’s a superb vocalist.
Nevertheless, it comes as a surprise to hear the country singer tackle a rock n roll hit. During a performance at Live & Well Concert in Dollywood a few years ago she sang Led Zeppelin’s “A Stairway To Heaven” and, boy, does she make it her own!
