Man With Disabilities Comes To The Rescue Of Drowning Fawn

This man has one arm and a heart of gold. He man spotted a fawn trapped in a creek, so without hesitation, he waded into the creek to rescue the fawn…in his Sunday’s best!

His left arm is in a sling here because it was paralyzed and later amputated. He explains, “Was on the way to my wife’s little brother’s 8th grade graduation when we saw a doe & her fawn standing in the creek. We backed up to get a better look and the fawn tripped and fell in the creek and had his back leg wedged in a rock.”

“As a true outdoors man should, I decided that I couldn’t let the little thing drown so I took off my shoes and went out and got the little booger. I guess you might be a redneck if you wade into a creek to save a fawn in your Sunday’s best.”

Did the fawn and the doe reunite? As this man says, “She never left the area, she probably went 40 yards max and watched me the whole time. Soon as the fawn got up it went straight to her and she licked it down.”

This is how you teach your children to love animals! What a great guy.
