David Bowie’s Haunting and Beautiful Last Music Video ‘Lazarus’ Released

Just three days before he died, David Bowie released what is now his last music video. Entitled “Lazarus” the lyrics of the song are poignant for what they express. Bowie sings, “Look up here, I’m in heaven”.

Bowie had been battling cancer for the past 18 months, but had kept it a secret from the media. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 10, 2016. He was 69.

The song is one from his final album Blackstar, which his loved ones say was a “parting gift” to his fans. The album was released on his birthday, just a week ago.

In a career spanning 51 years, the artist’s hits include Let’s Dance, Changes, Space Oddity, Starman, Modern Love, Heroes, Under Pressure, Rebel Rebel and Life on Mars.
