Dad Creates Incredible Halloween Costumes For Kids In Wheelchairs

Oregon dad Ryan Weimer loves to make his kids costumes for Halloween. As three of his children have Spinal Muscular Atrophy and use a wheelchair, he decided to incorporate their chairs into their costumes and the results are amazing! So many people loved them that he decided to start a nonprofit, Magic Wheelchair, to help other kids get costumes like his kids.

It takes between 100 to 200 hours for his teams to build each creation. This year, 8 kids will be getting the Halloween costumes of their dreams!

“My kids are seen as superstars and not looked at with sympathetic eyes or sadness,” Ryan told BuzzFeed News. “It’s not a cure…it’s a cure for a day. It helps them forget. It helps other people see them as a kid, and hot just a kid in a wheelchair.”

Share these incredible costumes and great dad with your family and friends!
