A capella music may be under-appreciated these days, what with the airwaves filled with pop music. But there’s something wonderful about listening to the human voice exclusively. And just because the only instrument is the human voice doesn’t mean the music has to be simple.
Take this amazing vocal arrangement by Cubanos Acapella. They pay tribute to the Eagles’ classic “Hotel California” and when I listened to it I could swear I heard drums and electric guitar and had to remind myself they are using only their voices. The “guitar solo” at 4:18 really blew me away!
