Brave Teen Saves Fox Being Beaten And Kicked By A Group Of Men

When Luke Rowles was 15, he saw a group of men in a garden, kicking and beating this poor fox whose mouth had been sealed shut with duct tape. What Luke did next is not something most people would do, but he did it without hesitation.

Luke walked straight to the gang of violent men without regard to his own safety. He shouted at the men and then grabbed the fox.

This is a photo of Luke right after her rescued the fox from the dangerous men. After caring for the fox, healing his wounds and making sure the fox was healthy, he set the rehabilitated fox free.

Today, Luke continues rescuing animals for the Rudozem Street Dog Rescue, an animal rescue founded by his parents.

Back in 2007, Luke and his family moved from the UK to the beautiful mountain town of Rudozem, hoping to enjoy a quieter life. But once they arrived, they were shocked by what they saw—countless dogs wandering the streets, starving and often victims of terrible abuse.

Unable to ignore their suffering, the family began taking in the sickest and weakest animals. But it quickly became clear that their home alone couldn’t possibly house all the dogs and cats who desperately needed help. That’s when they began their rescue. As the years passed and they rescued thousands of animals, the family tried to establish a permanent shelter for the animals they saved. Unfortunately, they faced strong opposition from local residents and officials and in 2020 their request to have the shelter officially registered was denied. The decision was devastating but it didn’t stop them.

The Rowles family continues to rescue animals and care for those who were saved before the ruling was made. Today, their lives are devoted to loving and protecting the 93 animals in their care who may never find forever homes—but who will always have safety, comfort, and compassion.
