Man Knocked Down Cute Snowmen, Prompts a Heartwarming Community Response
Recently in Hamburg, Germany, the community came together to repair a “Grinch’s” destruction.
After freezing temperatures and snowfall descended on the city, a charming display of small snowmen appeared on a bridge over Alster Lake, cheering up locals braving the cold. That is, until one resident decided to play the “Grinch” and knocked them all down. In a video shared on social media, the disgruntled man can be seen destroying the snow figures lined up on the bridge one by one.
People were angered by the so-called “snowman massacre,” but one person decided to take action, sharing a simple suggestion in the comments: “Tomorrow flashmob building a snowman from 12:00 o’clock.”
The idea quickly resonated, and he wasn’t alone the next day. Dozens of people showed up to rebuild the snow figures — this time, bigger and better. TikTokker Dino and Ruby shared a video of the joyful effort and noted, “Moral of the story: don’t let them get you down.”
@dino.and.ruby How could someone do such a thing? But we came back bigger and better! #hamburg #snowman #schneeman ♬ Little Things – Adrián Berenguer
The event was a big success and the snowmen are so fun!
