Kitten Rescued From Freeway Gets Special Ride With State Trooper

Washington State troopers saved a kitten stuck on the shoulder of a freeway in Pierce County and captured the entire rescue on bodycam.

After receiving multiple 911 calls on Wednesday morning, Troopers Bonner and Fath arrived on the shoulder of southbound I-5 near 96th in Tacoma, Washington, looking for the kitten people had reported. They found her huddled under a concrete barrier. Bonner got down on the ground and managed to grab her safely.

The moment they freed the cat was so heartwarming. Cradling the tiny kitten, the two officers doted over her. Bonner is heard saying, “Aw, what a cutie,” before handing the kitten over to Fath for a look. But what happened after was even sweeter. Bonner decided to let the kitten ride up front with him in the vehicle while driving her to a veterinarian. It’s absolutely adorable to see.

The kitten was found to be in good health after her checkup and has already found a forever home with a trooper from the Washington State Patrol’s District 1.
