Rescued Moon Bear Sees The Sky For The Very First Time In 27 Years
After 27 years in darkness, a moon bear who had been trapped in a cage at a bile farm has finally been rescued. “For the very first time, Sen can lift his head to the sky, step onto soft grass, and splash in water — a life every bear deserves. His name, Sen (Lotus in Vietnamese), is a symbol of hope: from suffering to blossoming in the sun,” reveals Animals Asia, the organization that rescued him.
He adapted quickly to his new surroundings and, not only did he see the sky for the first time, but he also got to interact with another rescue bear. He met Rizzo, and they became friends instantly. Watch his rescue in the video below.
For decades, Animal Asia has worked with governments and local communities to improve the life of animals like Sen. There are more bears to save. Visit Animal Asia to find out how you can help.
