70 Guinea Pigs Adorably March Into the Barn When Called
Every evening at the Maurits Bosgoed farm in the Netherlands, an adorable procession takes place. The guinea pigs are on the march—all 70 of them. The farmers shared a video of calling the animals in for their evening meal, noting that it’s “quite easy.” All they do is tap on a tin, and the guinea pigs promptly head into the barn. Within a minute, they’re all safely inside for the night.
Watch the sweet roll call below.
But how do they get inside and outside so easily? The farm has a special tube installed in the barn. This older version of the video shows them from a different angle.
The guinea pigs live outdoors year-round and are free to roam anywhere in the garden. They’re kept as pets and interact with many of the farm animals. They listen for birds’ alarm calls to sense danger and love to hide in the grass and dig long tunnels.
It’s a charming glimpse into how even the tiniest farm residents can follow a routine with surprising coordination and trust.
