Josh Turner’s 98-Year-Old Grandma Gets Standing Ovation At Grand Ole Opry

Performing at the Grand Ole Opry is a dream of a lifetime for many country musicians. However, when contemporary country singer Josh Turner got on the famous stage, the first thing he did was turn over the spotlight to his 98-year-old grandmother-in-law, Lois!

“My wife’s 98 year old grandmother, her name is Lois Cunningham, and she’s gonna come out and play on the Grand Ole Opry stage for the very first time,” he told the audience back in 2017. And that’s what Lois did, entertaining the audience with a wonderful performance of “How Great Thou Art”.

Not only was this her debut at the Opry, it earned her a standing ovation! I love how she waved to the audience afterwards…she was obviously thrilled!

It’s never too late for your dreams to come true! Share Lois’ performance with your friends and family.
