When this young man was called by his mom to dog sit her puppy, Dixie for the first time, he was greeted by a timid dog who wasn’t so sure about him. But that didn’t discourage him from trying to win her trust and become her best friend.
He wrote on YouTube:
“This is a video of me meeting my mum’s adorable puppy for the first time. She had a work emergency and needed someone to swing by and walk and watch her. Took about 1.5 hours or so for us to trust each other. Very shy dog. Her name is Dixie, she’s a whippet and she’s 5 months old.”
How sweet is that? It looks like with treats and not pushing things, he was able to win Dixie over. We’re pretty sure she’ll be looking forward to seeing him next time!
