Life is looking a lot brighter for a pug named Dory. The young pug was not only rescued from a field where she had been dumped after giving birth to puppies but she’s been welcomed into the home of a loving family. That home just happens to be the home of Doug the Pug, a celebrity canine.
Doug the Pug’s family shared the news recently along with cute videos of Doug meeting his new sibling and Dory adjusting to her new home.
@dougthepug Doug’s biggest news yet…meet his little sister, Dory!!! Dory is a 1 year-old rescue from Tiny Paws Pug Rescue. She was found after being dumped in a field in the Bay Area and was in need of a safe, happy and loving home. We feel like the luckiest people in the world to have her join our family and Doug cannot wait to be a big brother! Doug has been telling us in his own way for a while now that he was ready and open to a dog sibling. Whenever we would petsit for friends Doug truly lit up and he’d get so sad when they left. After a very tough year as a family, we realized we were also ready to fill our home and hearts with more joy and love, and to help a pug in need was the cherry on top. And so, Dory entered our lives. From the moment we saw her face from the rescue, it was an instant knowing…she was the missing piece to our family. Dory will now be so spoiled and loved not only by us, but hopefully all of you! Doug’s family shared that any time they pet sit, Doug would get sad when the other dog left to go home. So they decided now was the time to adopt another dog. They learned of Dory, a 1 year-old rescue from Tiny Paws Pug Rescue and wrote, “She was found after being dumped in a field in the Bay Area and was in need of a safe, happy and loving home.”
With each new day Dory is feeling safer in her new home. Her family shared her letting out an adorable pug ‘Roooo’ and wrote, “She knows she is home. Doug’s new little sister Dory is coming out of her shell more and more each day. We feel so lucky to show her the love she deserves.
