Meet Penguin the Australian Magpie. She was rescued as a baby after she fell out of a tree by the Bloom family. They raised her until she was healthy enough to be released back into the wild. Penguin is free to fly but, it turns out, the bird, loves the Bloom home and the family.
The father says, “I never thought she’d become as much a part of the family as she has. [The kids] love her like a dog, but better.”

Penguin loves clean sheets.
She’ll sit and enjoy the kids practicing Coldplay on guitar and sing along.
Penguin likes to sneak in out of the rain.
She knows when it’s a stay inside day.
And loves to give the kids cuddles after school.
She also loves leftovers.
Did we mention how much she loves it when the kids come home from school?
There’s nothing better than mom’s spaghetti.
She made friends with another baby magpie and invited it over for a visit.
She recently left home for 6 days. Her family missed her. “The joy she’s bought to all our lives has been immeasurable.”
But she came back! At it just happened to be on the day it was one of the kid’s birthday!
She also loves to take showers!
