How To Turn Off the New IPhone iOS 9 Feature That Could Make Your Bill Skyrocket

Apple recently released iOS 9 and millions of people have already downloaded it. The latest software update has a cool new feature that can use your iPhone’s data signal to strengthen weak wi-fi signals and maintain an internet connection. However, if you are regularly in weak wi-fi spots, and you have a limited data plan, this function could inadvertently cost you hundreds of dollars.

The feature is called WiFi Assist and although it is by default “on”, it can be switched off simply.

Go to the “Settings” app, tap “Cellular” then scroll down to “Cellular data usage.”
