A couple in Australia recently got a shock after finishing their online work meetings for the day to discover their Golden Retriever had gotten up to some muddy mischief on the couch. Or, as a dog would reason, made it more comfortable.
TikTokker @courtneyandconstruction shared a video of their dog Willow having almost completed her epic muddy makeover of the couch. The TikTokker is completely flabbergasted while watching Willow and asks her partner in disbelief, “How did she get so dirty that she brought this onto the couch?”
The video of the muddy mess has quickly gone viral. Many viewers couldn’t help but admire how thorough Willow was in dirtying the couch from one end to the other. Other viewers wondered if the video was staged asking why Willow’s owners watched on without doing anything. But many dog parents came to their defence. One viewer wrote, “Honestly…at that stage 20 seconds of filming doesn’t really matter.”
We’d have to agree with that explanation because at the point @courtneyandconstruction films it really does look like Willow has almost finished cleaning herself off.
@courtneyandconstruction did provide a satisfying follow-up video of the couch being cleaned to its pristine form. She wrote, “Ever heard the saying ‘it always gets worse before it gets better’? Well, today we lived it! Thanks to Willow, our Golden Retriever, our couch turned into a muddy mess. But with a little elbow grease and our vax, we tackled the mess head-on. And guess what? It’s cleaner than when we started!”

The couple used a spot cleaner and @courtneyandconstruction responded to someone who asked what she used, “It was the vax spot cleaner but I’ll be honest there was PLENTY of elbow grease and we used a special like rug doctor mix in the machine ( it did the trick).”
