Jaina of Cats of San Bernadino arrived in a neighborhood where a cat had been living outside for two years. Ares was riddled with mange and had a scarred up face. But his heart was just as scarred. He had been adopted by a family as a kitten but when they moved they packed up and left Ares to fend for himself.
He was heartbroken. But as soon as he knew he had people to care from him he jumped into their arms.
