Families Treasure Glass Keepsakes Created From Loved One’s Ashes

When someone we love dies, we look for ways to remember them. Memorials can take all sorts of forms, from tattoos to paintings. One Seattle company has come up with a beautiful way for families to cherish a lost loved one. Artful Ashes takes a loved ones’ ashes and incorporates them into glass art.

The glass sculptures are blown into shapes of hearts or orbs and include a tablespoon of ash.

Husband and wife glassmakers Greg and Christina use an array of colors and designs, which are handmade to order.

Families can actually come to the studio in person and be on hand when the sculptures are made if they want to.

Here they are demonstrating glassblowing for a group of kids.

The glassworks are treasured by clients, who love that they can touch and look at it.
