An abandoned puppy’s frightened howls have turned to contented snorts after his amazing rescue. When Bowie was first seen by his rescuers, he was huddled against a pole and shivering from the cold and from injuries. He screamed in fear as Donna from Stray Rescue of St. Louis approached him. His cries “completely broke our hearts in two” Donna said.

He continued to howl as she got closer but he didn’t run away. But as soon as she got a leash around his neck he let out a small whimper but was instantly relieved.
But flash forward to Bowie’s life now and the only howling the dog makes is to demand cuddles! Bowie recovered from his wounds and his ordeal and was adopted by Shawn and his family.
Shawn says that Bowie is the “king of the castle” and assumes the couch as his and the bed as his. And if Shawn is sitting on the couch Bowie makes a point to lay on top of him.
Bowie also loves playing and snuggling with his canine sister, Penny.

It’s incredibly heartwarming to see Bowie’s life now! The pup has come a remarkable way thanks to Shawn’s family and Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
