We all know that turtles have hard shells on their backs to defend themselves against predators, but it’s rare that we get to see this natural defense in action. In this incredible video shot by Instagrammer frazercoralbay, a turtle defends himself from a tiger shark by positioning his body to be “shell-first” every time the shark tries to bite him.
The tiger shark circles the turtle several times, but each time the turtle manages to maneuver himself at the last minute to avoid a deadly attack!
“A sharks gotta do what a sharks gotta do,” frazercoralbay wrote in the video’s caption. “PS the turtle got away!!”
