Marine Hero Dog ‘Max’ Will Bring On The Tears

It’s been a while since a movie with a dog as the lead character has been on the big screen, but the upcoming film MAX looks like it will fill that void.

The coming-of-age story is loosely based on the true story of a heroic military working dog, who after his Marine handler in killed in action, goes to live with the soldier’s family. Max is deeply bonded to U.S. Marine Kyle Wincott and after he dies, Max can no longer work. Suffering from the trauma of war and loss, Max goes to live with Kyle’s grieving family. Kyle’s younger brother, Justin doesn’t want anything to do with Max at first, but gradually, the two help each other in ways they had not dreamed possible.

I usually don’t get emotional watching movie trailers, but I did with this one. You might just need a tissue or two handy to get through the trailer. And you’ll probably need a whole box when the film is released June 26, 2015.

Share the trailer with your dog-loving friends.
