The Hippopotamus is a giant in the animal kingdom and holds the dubious title of world’s most prolific farter. At least that’s what the YouTube description of this viral video states. Over 24 million people wanted to see just how big a fart a hippo can make.
“That’s not a fart, that’s a shart! Lmaooo,” one viewer proclaims. Another writes, “this is actually something hippos do in defence… probably didn’t like the large crowd of people and tried to make them go away.” If this is, in fact, a known defensive behavior, I believe it would be highly effective!
