When introducing a dog to a new baby, experts recommend letting the dog smell a few of the baby’s items before making the introduction so that the dog can get used to the baby’s smell. This includes clothing, diapers, blankets and other baby-related items.
Charlie’s humans are doing what good pet parents should do and letting him sniff a few things from the newborn baby, who will be coming home the next day.
But when Charlie gets a whiff of baby Sadie’s hat he has a reaction I’m certain his family wasn’t expecting!
Maybe he’s over-excited? It does make me wonder…what’s Charlie’s reaction going to be when he smells a dirty diaper?
