Teen With Disabilities Gets Special Moment On Basketball Court Thanks To Opposing Team

This is an amazing moment that teenager Mitchell Marcus will never forget. Mitchell has a passion for basketball but has developmental disability that keeps him from playing on the court. But he is still involved in the game, helping out the coach of the Coronado high school Thunderbirds as team manager.

Recently, on the last game of the Texas high school team’s regular season, the coach told Mitchell to suit up. But what Mitchell didn’t know is that the coach decided to play him no matter what so that he could give him a moment on the court to play the game he loves so much.

With their team only leading by 10, and a minute and half remaining, the coach put Mitchell in. His teammates did everything they could to try and get him a basket but Mitchell wasn’t able to score. He either missed the shot or booted it out of bounds. Then, with only a few seconds remaining, something completely unexpected happened. It’s a moment that Mitchell’s mom said she is going to cry about for the rest of her life.

Now that’s what I call sportsmanship! Share this very special moment with your friends and family.
